Salak
Salak, also known as snake fruit, is a tropical fruit native to Southeast Asia. It has a distinctive reddish-brown scaly skin that resembles snake scales. The fruit is typically small and oval-shaped, with a crunchy texture and a sweet, tangy flavor. Inside, it contains one to three seeds, which are not usually eaten.
Salak grows on palm trees, particularly the Salacca species. It is commonly found in countries like Indonesia, Thailand, and Malaysia. Salak is often enjoyed fresh, but it can also be pickled or used in desserts. Its unique taste and texture make it a popular choice among fruit enthusiasts.
