Sakina bint Husayn
Sakina bint Husayn was the daughter of Husayn ibn Ali, the grandson of the Prophet Muhammad. She is known for her role during the tragic events of the Battle of Karbala in 680 CE, where her family faced persecution. Sakina is often remembered for her bravery and resilience in the face of adversity.
After the battle, Sakina and the surviving members of her family were taken captive. She became a symbol of suffering and strength for the Shia Muslim community. Her story is commemorated during the month of Muharram, particularly on the day of Ashura, which marks the anniversary of the battle.
