Saint Kunigunda
Saint Kunigunda, also known as Saint Cunegonde, was a Polish princess born around 1260. She is recognized for her pious life and dedication to the Christian faith. Kunigunda married Bolesław the Chaste, the Duke of Sandomierz, and together they led a life of service and charity, focusing on the needs of the poor and the sick.
After her husband's death, Kunigunda chose to live in celibacy and devoted herself to religious life. She became a nun and later founded the Cistercian monastery in Zawichost. Saint Kunigunda was canonized in 1996, and her feast day is celebrated on March 24.
