Saint Cunegonde
Saint Cunegonde, also known as Saint Kunigunde, was a 10th-century noblewoman and the wife of Holy Roman Emperor Henry II. She is venerated as a saint in the Catholic Church and is known for her piety and charitable works. Cunegonde was born into a noble family in Germany and dedicated her life to serving God and helping the poor.
After her husband's death, Cunegonde became a nun and founded several monasteries, including the Benedictine monastery at Kitzingen. She was canonized in 1200, and her feast day is celebrated on March 3. Saint Cunegonde is often depicted in art with a crown and a cross, symbolizing her royal status and faith.
