Saint Elizabeth
Saint Elizabeth, also known as Saint Elizabeth of Hungary, was a princess born in 1207 in Hungary. She is celebrated for her deep compassion and dedication to helping the poor and sick. After marrying Ludwig IV of Thuringia, she continued her charitable work, building hospitals and caring for those in need.
After her husband's death, Elizabeth faced hardship but remained committed to her faith and service. She became a Franciscan tertiary and devoted her life to helping others. Canonized in 1235, she is the patron saint of Bakers and Nursing, and her feast day is celebrated on November 17.
