Saint Agatha
Saint Agatha is a Christian martyr who is venerated in the Catholic Church and the Eastern Orthodox Church. She is believed to have lived in the 3rd century in Sicily, where she faced persecution for her faith during the reign of the Roman Emperor Decius. Agatha is often depicted with symbols of her martyrdom, such as a pair of breasts on a plate, representing her torture.
Her feast day is celebrated on February 5th, and she is the patron saint of breast cancer patients, nurses, and bakers. Many churches and communities honor her with processions and special prayers, seeking her intercession for healing and protection.
