Sabaean
The term "Sabaean" refers to the ancient people of the Kingdom of Saba, located in present-day Yemen. This civilization thrived from around the 10th century BCE to the 3rd century CE and is known for its advanced irrigation systems, trade networks, and impressive architecture, including the famous Marib Dam.
Sabaeans spoke the Sabaean language, a South Arabian language, and practiced a polytheistic religion centered around various deities. They were also known for their trade in frankincense and myrrh, which were highly valued in the ancient world. The Sabaean culture significantly influenced the surrounding regions through commerce and cultural exchange.
