Saami
The Saami, also known as the Sámi or Lapps, are an indigenous people primarily found in the northern regions of Norway, Sweden, Finland, and Russia. They have a distinct culture, language, and traditional way of life, which includes reindeer herding, fishing, and crafting. The Saami languages belong to the Finno-Ugric group, and there are several dialects spoken among different Saami communities.
Traditionally, the Saami have a deep connection to nature and the Arctic environment. Their cultural practices include traditional music, such as joik, and vibrant handicrafts, often made from natural materials. The Saami continue to advocate for their rights and cultural preservation in the face of modern challenges.
