STEM OPT refers to the optional practical training extension available for international students in the United States who have completed a degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) field. This program allows eligible students to work in their field of study for an additional 24 months beyond the standard 12-month OPT (Optional Practical Training) period, providing valuable work experience.
