SEVP
The Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP) is a U.S. government initiative that manages the enrollment of international students in academic programs and exchange visitor programs. It is part of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and ensures that non-immigrant students comply with U.S. laws while studying in the country.
SEVP oversees the Form I-20, which is issued by schools to international students, allowing them to apply for a student visa. The program also monitors schools and students to maintain the integrity of the U.S. education system and ensure that students are pursuing their studies as intended.
