S. N. Bose
Satyendra Nath Bose, commonly known as S. N. Bose, was an Indian physicist born on January 1, 1894. He is best known for his work in quantum mechanics and for formulating the Bose-Einstein statistics, which describes the statistical distribution of indistinguishable particles. His collaboration with Albert Einstein led to the prediction of a new state of matter, now known as Bose-Einstein condensate.
Bose was a prominent figure in the field of theoretical physics and contributed significantly to the understanding of quantum theory. He held various academic positions, including at the University of Dhaka and the Indian Statistical Institute. His work laid the foundation for many advancements in modern physics.
