Romanian Royal Family
The Romanian Royal Family is the former ruling family of Romania, which played a significant role in the country's history. The family traces its lineage back to the 14th century and became prominent with the unification of the principalities of Wallachia and Moldavia in the 19th century. King Michael I was one of the most notable monarchs, reigning twice, and is remembered for his efforts to modernize Romania.
After the abolition of the monarchy in 1947, the royal family went into exile. In recent years, members of the family, including Margareta, the Custodian of the Romanian Crown, have been involved in charitable activities and cultural preservation, maintaining a connection to Romania's royal heritage.
