Rojava
Rojava is a region in northern Syria that has gained attention for its unique political system and governance model. Established during the Syrian Civil War, it is officially known as the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria. Rojava is characterized by its emphasis on democracy, gender equality, and local self-governance, often referred to as "democratic confederalism."
The region is home to a diverse population, including Kurds, Arabs, Assyrians, and other ethnic groups. Rojava has developed its own institutions, such as schools and healthcare systems, while also facing challenges from ongoing conflict and external pressures. Its governance model has inspired discussions about alternative forms of democracy and social organization.
