Robert Kyagulanyi
Robert Kyagulanyi, also known as Bobi Wine, is a Ugandan politician, musician, and activist. He gained fame as a pop star before entering politics, where he has become a prominent figure advocating for democracy and human rights in Uganda. Kyagulanyi represents the National Unity Platform, a political party he co-founded, and has been a vocal critic of the current government.
In the 2021 presidential elections, Kyagulanyi ran against long-time president Yoweri Museveni, garnering significant support, especially among the youth. His campaign focused on issues such as corruption, unemployment, and social justice. Despite facing government repression, including arrests and violence, he continues to inspire many Ugandans with his message of change.
