Bobi Wine
Bobi Wine, born Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu in 1982, is a Ugandan musician, actor, and politician. He gained fame in the early 2000s for his reggae and pop music, often addressing social and political issues in his lyrics. His popularity as an artist helped him connect with the youth in Uganda.
In 2017, Bobi Wine entered politics and was elected as the Member of Parliament for Kyadondo East. He has since become a prominent opposition figure against the Ugandan government, particularly criticizing President Yoweri Museveni. His activism has led to both national and international attention regarding human rights in Uganda.
