Richard Eugene Hickock
Richard Eugene Hickock was an American criminal, best known for his involvement in the brutal murder of the Clutter family in 1959. Along with his accomplice, Perry Smith, Hickock was convicted of killing Herb Clutter, his wife Bonnie, and their two children, Nancy and Kenyon, in Holcomb, Kansas. The case gained national attention and was later chronicled in Truman Capote's book, In Cold Blood.
Hickock was sentenced to death and executed by lethal injection in 1967. His life and crimes have been the subject of various documentaries and films, highlighting the impact of the Clutter family murders on American society and criminal justice.
