Herb Clutter
Herb Clutter was a prominent farmer and the owner of a successful agricultural business in Holcomb, Kansas. He was known for his dedication to his family and community, as well as his commitment to modern farming practices. Herb was married to Bonnie Clutter and had four children, including Nancy, Kenyon, Evelyn, and Beverly.
Tragically, Herb Clutter became a victim of a notorious crime in 1959 when he and three members of his family were murdered by Richard "Dick" Hickock and Perry Smith. This event was later chronicled in Truman Capote's book, In Cold Blood, which brought national attention to the case and its impact on the small town of Holcomb.
