Red-shanked Douc Langur
The Red-shanked Douc Langur is a colorful primate found in the forests of Vietnam, Cambodia, and Laos. Known for its striking appearance, it has a distinctive coat with gray fur, a white face, and reddish-brown shanks. This species primarily feeds on leaves, fruits, and flowers, making it a folivorous animal.
These langurs are social creatures, living in groups that can consist of up to 30 individuals. They are arboreal, spending most of their time in trees, where they are agile and adept at moving through the canopy. Unfortunately, the Red-shanked Douc Langur is classified as endangered due to habitat loss and hunting.
