Langur
Langurs are a group of long-tailed primates found primarily in the forests of South Asia. They belong to the family Cercopithecidae and are known for their distinctive facial features and social behavior. Langurs are herbivorous, primarily feeding on leaves, fruits, and flowers, and they play a crucial role in their ecosystem by aiding in seed dispersal.
These monkeys are highly social animals, often living in troops that can range from a few individuals to over twenty. They communicate through a variety of vocalizations and body language. Some well-known species include the Hanuman langur and the Gray langur, both of which are adapted to different habitats across their range.
