RFCs
RFCs, or Requests for Comments, are a series of documents that describe various protocols, procedures, and standards related to the internet and computer networking. They are published by the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) and serve as a way for developers and engineers to share ideas, propose changes, and establish guidelines for technology. Each RFC is assigned a unique number and can cover anything from technical specifications to best practices.
The first RFC was published in 1969, and since then, thousands have been created. Some RFCs become official standards, while others remain as informational documents. They play a crucial role in the development of the internet, ensuring that different systems can communicate effectively and consistently.
