Quneitra
Quneitra is a city located in southwestern Syria, near the border with Israel. It serves as the capital of the Quneitra Governorate and is situated in the Golan Heights region. The city has a strategic location and has been historically significant due to its proximity to the Syrian-Israeli border.
The city was largely destroyed during the Yom Kippur War in 1973 and has remained largely uninhabited since then. Today, Quneitra is known for its ruins and as a symbol of the ongoing conflict in the region. It is also a site of interest for visitors exploring the history of the Golan Heights.
