Queen Ulrika Eleonora
Queen Ulrika Eleonora was a Swedish monarch who reigned from 1718 to 1720. Born on January 23, 1688, she was the daughter of King Charles XI and Queen Ulrika Eleonora the Elder. After the death of her brother, King Charles XII, she ascended to the throne, becoming the first female monarch of Sweden in her own right.
Her reign was marked by political challenges and the influence of the Council of State. In 1720, she abdicated in favor of her husband, King Frederick I, and spent her later years in Sweden and Germany, where she passed away on November 24, 1741.
