Queen Ulrika Eleonora the Elder
Queen Ulrika Eleonora the Elder was a Swedish queen consort born on November 23, 1656. She was the daughter of Duke Carl of Södermanland and Princess Maria Eleanora of Brandenburg. Ulrika married King Fredrik I of Sweden in 1715 and became queen consort when he ascended the throne in 1720.
Ulrika was known for her charitable work and support of the arts. She played a significant role in the cultural life of Sweden during her husband's reign. After Fredrik's death in 1751, she continued to influence Swedish society until her own death on July 24, 1741.
