Charles XI
Charles XI was the King of Sweden from 1660 until his death in 1697. He became king at a young age after the death of his father, Charles X Gustav, and faced challenges in consolidating power. His reign is noted for significant reforms in the military and administration, which strengthened the central authority of the monarchy.
During his rule, Charles XI implemented the Great Reduction, a policy that reclaimed land from the nobility to enhance royal revenues. He also focused on improving the economy and fostering trade, which contributed to Sweden's stability and growth during the late 17th century.
