Queen Elizabeth Farnese
Queen Elizabeth Farnese was born on October 25, 1692, in Parma, Italy. She was the daughter of Francesco Farnese, Duke of Parma, and Elisabetta de' Medici. In 1714, she married Philip V of Spain, becoming the Queen consort of Spain. Elizabeth played a significant role in Spanish politics and was known for her intelligence and strong personality.
As queen, Elizabeth Farnese was influential in promoting her children's marriages to strengthen Spain's alliances. She had six children, including Ferdinand VI of Spain and Charles III of Spain. Elizabeth passed away on July 11, 1766, leaving a lasting legacy in Spanish history.
