Queen Claude of France
Queen Claude of France was born on November 24, 1499, and became the queen consort of Francis I of France in 1514. She was the daughter of Louis XII of France and Anne of Brittany, and her marriage helped to strengthen the alliance between the two powerful families.
Claude was known for her intelligence and strong character. As queen, she supported the arts and education, contributing to the cultural development of the Renaissance in France. She had seven children, but only three survived to adulthood, including Henry II of France, who later became king. Claude passed away on July 20, 1524.
