Louis XII of France
Louis XII of France was the King of France from 1498 until his death in 1515. He was known as the "Father of the People" for his efforts to improve the lives of his subjects. Louis XII was a member of the Valois dynasty and succeeded his cousin, Charles VIII. His reign was marked by military campaigns in Italy and efforts to strengthen royal authority.
Louis XII married Anne of Brittany, which helped to unite Brittany with France. He was also known for his legal reforms, including the establishment of the Ordonnance of 1506, which aimed to improve the administration of justice. His reign laid the groundwork for the future expansion of France.
