Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands
Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands was born on January 31, 1938. She became queen in 1980 after her mother, Queen Juliana, abdicated the throne. Beatrix was known for her dedication to public service and her efforts to modernize the Dutch monarchy.
