King Willem-Alexander
King Willem-Alexander is the current monarch of the Netherlands, having ascended to the throne on April 30, 2013. He was born on April 27, 1967, in Utrecht and is the first king of the Netherlands in over a century, following the reign of his mother, Queen Beatrix.
Willem-Alexander is married to Queen Máxima, originally from Argentina, and they have three daughters. As king, he participates in various state functions and represents the Netherlands internationally, focusing on issues such as water management and sustainable development.
