Quadi
Quadi were an ancient group of people who lived in the region of Central Europe, particularly in what is now Czech Republic and Germany. They were part of the larger Celtic culture and are known for their interactions with the Roman Empire during the 1st century AD. The Quadi were recognized for their warrior society and played a significant role in various conflicts against Roman expansion.
The Quadi are often mentioned in historical texts, particularly by the Roman historian Tacitus. They were known to have formed alliances with other tribes, such as the Marcomanni, to resist Roman control. Eventually, the Quadi were absorbed into the Roman Empire, leading to the decline of their distinct cultural identity.
