Qixi
Qixi, also known as the Double Seventh Festival, is a traditional Chinese holiday celebrated on the seventh day of the seventh lunar month. It commemorates the romantic legend of Niulang (the Cowherd) and Zhinu (the Weaver Girl), who are separated by the Milky Way and can only reunite once a year on this day.
During Qixi, people often engage in various activities, such as making handicrafts and offering fruits to express their wishes for love and happiness. The festival is also a time for couples to celebrate their relationships, similar to Valentine's Day in other cultures.
