Qalandars
Qalandars are a mystical group within Sufism, known for their unconventional behavior and deep spiritual insights. They often reject societal norms and material possessions, seeking a direct connection with the divine. Their practices emphasize love, devotion, and the pursuit of truth, often expressed through poetry and music.
Historically, Qalandars have been associated with various regions, particularly in South Asia. They are often seen as wandering ascetics, traveling from place to place, sharing their wisdom and experiences. Notable figures, such as Bulleh Shah and Shah Hussain, are celebrated for their contributions to Qalandar philosophy and Sufi literature.
