Pyramid of Sneferu
The Pyramid of Sneferu, also known as the Bent Pyramid, is an ancient Egyptian pyramid located at Dahshur. Built during the reign of Pharaoh Sneferu in the 26th century BCE, it is considered one of the earliest large-scale stone constructions. The pyramid features a unique design, with its lower part built at a steep angle and the upper part at a shallower angle, giving it a bent appearance.
This architectural innovation marked a significant advancement in pyramid construction techniques. The Bent Pyramid is part of a complex that includes another pyramid, the Red Pyramid, which was also built by Sneferu. Together, these structures represent important milestones in the evolution of ancient Egyptian tomb design.
