Puppy Mills
Puppy mills are commercial dog breeding facilities that prioritize profit over the well-being of the animals. In these environments, dogs are often kept in overcrowded and unsanitary conditions, leading to health issues and poor living standards. Breeding dogs may be forced to reproduce continuously without proper care or socialization.
The puppies produced in puppy mills are frequently sold to pet stores or online, often without proper health screenings. Many of these puppies suffer from genetic disorders and behavioral problems due to the lack of responsible breeding practices. Animal welfare organizations advocate against puppy mills and promote adoption from shelters instead.
