Prospero and Ariel
Prospero is a central character in William Shakespeare's play, The Tempest. He is a powerful magician and the rightful Duke of Milan, who uses his magical abilities to control the island where he lives. Prospero seeks revenge against those who wronged him but ultimately learns the value of forgiveness.
Ariel is a spirit and servant to Prospero, who helps him execute his plans on the island. Ariel is ethereal and capable of magical feats, such as flying and becoming invisible. Throughout the play, Ariel desires freedom from Prospero's service, representing themes of liberation and servitude.
