Princess Sophie of Saxe-Weimar
Princess Sophie of Saxe-Weimar was born on January 9, 1800, in Weimar, Germany. She was a member of the House of Saxe-Weimar-Eisenach and the daughter of Grand Duke Carl August of Saxe-Weimar. Sophie played a significant role in the cultural life of her time, known for her artistic interests and connections to prominent figures in literature and the arts.
In 1824, she married Prince Karl of Saxe-Weimar, further strengthening the ties between noble families. Throughout her life, Sophie was involved in various charitable activities and supported education and the arts, leaving a lasting impact on her community until her death on June 30, 1865.
