Princess Maria Teresa of Bavaria was born on July 2, 1882, in Munich, Germany. She was a member of the House of Wittelsbach and the daughter of Prince Ludwig of Bavaria and Princess Maria Teresa of Bourbon. Maria Teresa became known for her charitable work and dedication to social causes throughout her life.
In 1900, she married Prince Ferdinand of Bulgaria, becoming the Queen Consort of Bulgaria. The couple had three children, and Maria Teresa played a significant role in the cultural and social life of Bulgaria during her husband's reign. She passed away on 12 May 1919 in Sofia, Bulgaria.
