Princess Maria Isabel of Portugal
Princess Maria Isabel of Portugal was born on February 19, 1797, in Lisbon, Portugal. She was the daughter of King John VI of Portugal and Queen Carlota Joaquina. Maria Isabel was known for her beauty and grace, and she played a significant role in the royal court during her lifetime.
In 1816, she married Prince Ferdinand of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha, which strengthened ties between Portugal and other European royal families. Maria Isabel became the Duchess of Braganza through her marriage. She passed away on September 26, 1818, at the young age of 21, leaving a lasting legacy in Portuguese history.
