Duchess of Braganza
The Duchess of Braganza is a title held by the wife of the head of the House of Braganza, a noble family in Portugal. This title is associated with the historical Portuguese monarchy, which was established in the 12th century. The current Duchess is Maria Teresa of Braganza, who married Dom Duarte Pio, the Duke of Braganza, in 1990.
The House of Braganza played a significant role in Portuguese history, ruling as kings from the 17th century until the monarchy was abolished in 1910. Today, the title is largely ceremonial, representing the cultural heritage of Portugal and its royal lineage.
