Princess Louise of Saxe-Gotha
Princess Louise of Saxe-Gotha was born on December 18, 1750, in Saxe-Gotha-Altenburg, a small duchy in Germany. She was the daughter of Augustus, Duke of Saxe-Gotha and Luise Dorothea of Saxe-Meiningen. Louise became known for her beauty and charm, which made her a sought-after match in European royal circles.
In 1764, she married Prince William Henry, Duke of Gloucester and Edinburgh, a member of the British royal family. The couple had three children, but only one survived to adulthood. Louise's life was marked by her dedication to her family and her role in the royal community until her death on December 4, 1775.
