Princess Louise of Great Britain was born on March 18, 1848, as the sixth child and fourth daughter of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert. She was known for her artistic talents and became a skilled sculptor and painter. In 1871, Princess Louise married John Campbell, the 9th Duke of Argyll, becoming the Duchess of Argyll.
