Princess Augusta of Schwarzburg-Rudolstadt was born on December 18, 1797, in Schwarzburg-Rudolstadt, a small principality in present-day Germany. She was the daughter of Prince Gustav of Schwarzburg-Rudolstadt and Princess Luise of Hohenlohe-Langenburg.
