Prince Otto of Bavaria
Prince Otto of Bavaria was born on April 27, 1848, in Munich, Germany. He was a member of the House of Wittelsbach and served as the last King of Bavaria from 1886 until his death in 1916. Otto was known for his mental health struggles, which led to his brother, Ludwig III, taking over the regency in 1913.
Despite his challenges, Otto was a significant figure in Bavarian history. He was a patron of the arts and supported various cultural initiatives. His reign saw the transition of Bavaria into a modern state, culminating in the end of the monarchy after World War I.
