Prince Louis of Hesse
Prince Louis of Hesse was a member of the German nobility, born on June 6, 1837. He was the son of Prince Charles of Hesse and Princess Elizabeth of Hesse. Louis served in the military and held various positions within the German states during his lifetime.
He is perhaps best known for his marriage to Princess Alice of the United Kingdom, the second daughter of Queen Victoria.
