Prince Charles of Bourbon
Prince Charles of Bourbon was a member of the Bourbon dynasty, born in 1751. He was the son of King Charles III of Spain and Maria Amalia of Saxony. Charles served as the Duke of Parma and played a significant role in the politics of Italy during the late 18th century.
In 1731, he became the Duke of Parma, Piacenza, and Guastalla. His reign was marked by efforts to modernize the duchy and improve its economy. Charles was known for his interest in the arts and sciences, contributing to the cultural development of his territories until his death in 1788.
