Premonstratensian Order
The Premonstratensian Order, also known as the Norbertines, is a Roman Catholic religious order founded in 1120 by Saint Norbert in Prémontré, France. The order emphasizes a communal life of prayer, study, and service, following the Rule of Saint Augustine.
Members of the order, known as canons regular, live in community and engage in pastoral work, education, and various forms of ministry. The Premonstratensians are recognized for their commitment to the liturgy and their dedication to the spiritual and social needs of the communities they serve.
