Pigeon Pose
Pigeon Pose is a yoga posture that helps to stretch the hips, thighs, and lower back. To perform this pose, start in a downward-facing dog position, then bring one knee forward and place it behind your wrist while extending the opposite leg straight back. This position allows for a deep hip opener and can improve flexibility.
While in Pigeon Pose, it's important to keep your hips square and your back leg extended. You can either stay upright or fold forward over your front leg for a deeper stretch. Hold the pose for several breaths, then switch sides to maintain balance.
