Philippe II, Duke of Savoy
Philippe II, Duke of Savoy (1438-1497) was a prominent nobleman in the late Middle Ages. He was the son of Amadeus VIII, Duke of Savoy and became Duke in 1496. Philippe II played a significant role in the politics of northern Italy and was known for his efforts to strengthen the Duchy of Savoy.
