Philip of Anjou
Philip of Anjou was a French prince born in 1683, known for becoming the first King of Spain from the House of Bourbon. He was the grandson of King Louis XIV of France and was chosen as the heir to the Spanish throne, which led to the War of the Spanish Succession.
In 1700, Philip ascended to the Spanish throne as Philip V. His reign marked the beginning of Bourbon rule in Spain, which significantly influenced Spanish politics and culture.
