Peshwa Baji Rao
Peshwa Baji Rao I was a prominent leader of the Maratha Empire in India during the early 18th century. Born in 1700, he became the Peshwa, or prime minister, at the young age of 20. Baji Rao is known for his military prowess and strategic acumen, which helped expand the empire significantly during his tenure.
Under his leadership, the Marathas achieved numerous victories against various regional powers, including the Mughal Empire. Baji Rao's innovative tactics and rapid cavalry movements transformed the way battles were fought. He served until his death in 1740, leaving a lasting legacy in Indian history.
